Vaal Abandoned After Two Races

Philasande Mxoli is on his feet after fall

Wet, wet, wet at the Vaal (Pic – Racing Today)

4Racing have advised that the remainder of today’s Vaal meeting has been abandoned.

A track inspection was conducted following Race 2 at the Vaal, and unfortunately, due to the rainfall received both prior to and during the event, the track has become inconsistent and unsafe for racing.

In a nasty incident, Wings Of Ice was amongst the front-runners in the second race, but appeared to fall.

Jockey Philasande Mxoli had a lucky escape. There was no news available on Wings Of Ice.
