JP Has A Penny For Your Thoughts

First due off @ 12h15

Hollywoodbets Kenilworth plays host to a nine-race programme this afternoon with the first due off at 12h15.

A reminder that today’s free-to-play Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge is available on the local and Hong Kong racemeetings.

JP van der Merwe takes the ride on Paddy Kruyer’s Tenpenny (Pic – Chase Liebenberg)

Trainer Paddy Kruyer sends out Tenpenny in Race 3. He cost himself winning over this course and distance last time as he hung towards the outside in the closing stages.

The son of What A Winter is coming along the right way.

JP van der Merwe knows him well and if keeping on a straight line, he should go one better.

Becky Sharp from the Vaughan Marshall stable takes her place in Race 8. She is better than her last start over 1000m.

She finished 0.4 lengths behind Why Not Jackie in her penultimate run. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

She will love the rise to 1200m and should be cherry-ripe. If putting her best foot forward, she should find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
