Turffontein Race Cancelled Due To Scratchings

Field will apply

In what is largely an unprecedented move, 4Racing have cancelled a race on Saturday’s Turffontein 18 January card card due to scratchings.

The operator states that due to 3 late scratchings, leaving a 3 horse field, the third   race, a R150 000 Progress Plate, has now been cancelled.

We note that runners 1, 4 and 6 were scratched. The 1 and 4 were taken out this morning, but Sukhumvit was scratched at 17h52 this evening.

The field will apply for all exotic bets.

All other race times remain as carded.
