Your Story Could Win You A R2000 Betting Voucher

Competition closes at 12h00 on Tuesday

Hard-luck and happy stories and magic memories are as much part of racing as the horses themselves.

To continue our 30th birthday celebrations the Sporting Post are asking our readers to submit personal anectdotes of a magic memory, or the best or worst moment of their racing life.

We don’t have any local racing on Sunday or Monday, so we are giving away Hollywoodbets Betting Vouchers to say thank you for celebrating 30 wonderful years with us.

  • The winner gets a R2000 Hollywoodbets Betting Voucher and a commemorative Sporting Post birthday golf sweater and cap.
  • Second earns a R500 Hollywoodbets Betting Voucher and a commemorative Sporting Post birthday golf sweater and cap.

Using a maximum of 250 words, please share your racing story with us – it can be happy, sad, or downright gut wrenching.

We will need your name, surname, mobile number and  Hollywoodbets account number (if you have one)

Please send your entry via a comment (they will not be published before competition closes!) on this post or via email to [email protected]. Please mark your email – ‘SP Birthday story’.

Entries close at 12h00 on Tuesday and the winners will be announced on Wednesday.

We reserve the right to publish entries received.

The judging panel’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
