Today’s local racemeeting takes place at Turffontein Racecourse with the first on an eight-race programme due off at 12h25.
The main event on the programme is the TAB Gr3 Sea Cottage Stakes.

Trainer Sean Tarry sends out Lucky Lad in the support feature. He is much better than his last start in the Hollywoodbets Gr1 Gold Challenge.
He was reported to have cast a shoe in running and it may have come too soon after his victory in the Gr1 Golden Horse Sprint.
He has won four times and finished second once from six starts on this course. He is the class horse in the race and should notch up his seventh-career victory.
Kotinos from the Roy Magner stable takes his place in Race 8. He stayed on when third over 1200m on the Inside course last time.
The way he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked.
He would have come on from that run and should strip much fitter.
Trent Mayhew takes the 2.5kgs off his back and the combination may find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.
