Ziets’ Centurion Can Make It A Fairytale Milestone

First off at 11h50

Nine races are carded on the Fairview polytrack this afternoon.

The first is due off at 11h50 with the lucky last set for 16h30. A reminder that Hollywoodbets Greyville starts at 15h35.

Zietsman Oosthuizen sends out El Romiachi in Race 4.

Trainer Zietsman gives Trent Mayhew a lift after a recent winner – Ziets hopes that Louis Mxothwa can bring El Moriachi home today (Pic – Pauline Herman)

He is having his 100th career start today. He has taken on stronger company and takes a drop in class.

Three of his seven career victories were achieved at the Vaal and three have come over this course and distance in Gqeberha. Luyolo Mxothwa is booked to ride and from his good draw of four, he can return to winning ways – he has not been in the number 1 box since 30 June 2023.

All About Love from the Justin Snaith stable takes his place in Race 1.

He showed very good improvement when second over 1200m on the turf last time. He lost a length leaving the start but rallied late.

It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. The blinkers seem to have done the trick.

If suited to this surface, he should find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
