The particulars being that as the rider of Pas De Nom, he failed to take the necessary corrective measures to ensure that he did not cause interference to Navy Strength and Holding Thumbs when he shifted in at the 250m and to Future Turn at the 150m in Race 6, the Cape Turf Club Syndicates Class 3 over 1800m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville Racecourse on 10 September 2024.

Jockey Zackey pleaded not guilty but was found guilty of the charge.

The Inquiry Board, after hearing all the evidence presented and having considered the mitigating factors as well as Jockey Zackey’s riding record, imposed a penalty of a suspension from riding in races for a period of ten (10) days.

Jockey Zackey was given the Right of Appeal against both the finding and the penalty imposed.
