Zackey Looks To The Horizon For A Good Start

First due off @ 12h15

It’s a double-header for local horseracing today with the first meeting of the day taking place on the Fairview polytrack.

The first on the eight-race programme is due off at 12h15 with the lucky last set for 16h20.

Hollywoodbets-sponsored Trainer Gavin Smith sends out Miss Prior in Race 1 and she should give punters a good start to the day.

She should have won her last start over 1000m in a work riders contest.

She showed good speed but was not ridden out in the run down to the line.

It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since.

The daughter of Horizon is a progressive type and with Craig Zackey in the saddle, she should be the one to beat.

Lady Majorca from the Juan Nel stable takes her place in Race 5 and she represents decent each way value.

She lost a length leaving the start over 1300m last time, but the way she finished off her race caught the eye.

She should have no issues with the rise to 1400m.

The daughter of William Longsword has dropped in the ratings and with a bit of luck from her wide draw, she may be the one to cause the upset.
