Eight races are carded on the Vaal Classic course this afternoon. After riding a treble at Turffontein on Saturday, Craig Zackey has six rides and he will be looking to continue where he left off.
The first is due off at 12h20.
Trainer Tyrone Zackey saddles Boisterous in Race 3 and he is the best bet on the programme. He produced a promising debut effort over 1200m on the Turffontein Inside course.
He raced wide in the early stages, but showed speed before getting outrun late. He found betting support that day which suggests that he was showing good work at home. The son of Silvano would have gained from the experience and in Maiden company, he should find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
Who’s That Star from the Clinton Binda stable represents decent each way value in Race 4. He is better than his last start as it may have come too soon. He finished 1.1 lengths behind Samuel Salt in his penultimate run and is 2kgs better off at the weights. If not too far out of his ground at the halfway mark, he can return to winning ways.
