Heversham’s King George Connection

Stallion making race is off at 16h35

Nigel Riley and his Heversham Park team have a special interest in today’s Gr1 King George and Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot, an acknowledged stallion making race.

Heversham’s Pivotal stallion Wings Of Desire ran second to Highland Reel in the 2016 renewal of the  King George and Queen Elizabeth Stakes, earning a Timeform Rating of 122.

Today’s race is off at 16h35.

Six runners have been left in contention for a first prize of £496 283.

Wings Of Desire is one of the best performed imported stallions in South Africa.

He also won the Gr2 Dante Stakes for John Gosden and finished fourth in the 2016 Investec Epsom Derby to Harzand.
