Winds Of Change Over Vaal Today

First due off @ 12h00

As advised earlier, today’s Vaal racemeeting has been moved from the main track to the Classic track due to unsafe racing conditions as a result of the rainfall.

Race times remain the same with the first on the nine-race programme due off at 12h00 and the lucky last set for 16h40.

Please refer to respective racing information sites to confirm today’s scratchings.

Winds Of Change from the Mike and Adam Azzie Stables should give punters a good start to the day.

He has produced two good second place finishes to date.

He lost a length leaving the start in the City Of Cape Town Gr3 Cape Of Good Hope Nursery last time but stayed on well at the finish.

The son of What A Winter is a progressive type and, in this field, he should take a power of beating.

Trainer Joey Soma sends out Que Ceu Azul in Race 7. She has shown improvement in her last two starts, the latest of which was over this course and distance.

She raced from a handy position last time but found one too good in the form of Mia Fiore.

The daughter of Querari has dropped to a competitive rating and with Piere Strydom retaining the ride, she can go one better.

Don’t forget to take today’s free-to-play Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge – you could be the next lucky winner!

  • Race 3 is now a 2400m.
  • Races 4, 5, 6 & 7 are now 1450m.
