William Rufus Could Do It Again

First race off @ 12h05

The new week starts off with an eight-race programme at Hollywoodbets Greyville on the polytrack this afternoon.

A reminder again that the revamped free-to-enter Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge is now run on all local racemeetings, as well as on Singapore and Hong Kong fixtures.

Get your entry in today by 12h00 latest, please!

The new prize payouts formulae means that besides the R5 000 daily must-be-won prize, which is allocated to the top 20 finishers on the leaderboard for every challenge race meeting, the all-or-nothing 100% clean sheet jackpot prize will now be determined by the number of runners at the race meeting, multiplied by R10 000 per unit, for all venues.

And as an added incentive, every player who wagers R50 or more on the Bet Slip generated by the Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge entry, will automatically have their potential winning payout from the competition, doubled!

The first race is due off at 12h05.

Kindly note that jockey C Dicken will not be riding this afternoon and apprentice S Hlengwa rode his 40th winner and will now claim 1,5kg.

William Rufus from the Dean Kannemeyer stable may be the horse to close off the meeting. He won a good race in his local debut over this course and distance. He set the pace, found another kick and won with a ton in hand.

The son of William Longsword received a three-pound penalty for that victory. He meets a similar type of field today and should follow up.

Hollywoodbets-sponsored trainer Gary Rich saddles Majestic Power in Race 6.

He won a very game race in his last start over this course and distance, despite the jockey dropping his reins in the closing stages.

The son of Just As Well received a two-pound penalty for that victory. He jumps from pole position and against similar opposition, he can follow up.
