Today’s eight-race programme on the Fairview turf track is headlined by two feature events, the Mining Pressure Systems Listed East Cape Sprint and the Bryanston Auctioneers Listed East Cape Guineas.

The first race is due off at 12h30 with the lucky last set for 16h35.

Trainer Alan Greeff sends out My Best Shot in the Bryanston Auctioneers Listed East Cape Guineas.

He has won his last three starts with ease. Despite losing a length leaving the start last time, he ran on well to get the better of Golden Link.

He has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this distance.

The son of Fire Away is the class horse in this contest and should take a power of beating.

Pyromaniac from the Jacques Strydom stable takes his place in Race 4. He should have finished closer to the winner last time as he received a bump at the 1100m mark.

The way he stayed on in the straight was encouraging.

Sporting Post-sponsored Jockey Luyolo Mxothwa is booked to ride from a good draw of two which is a big plus.

With a bit of luck in running, he can cause an upset.
