Will A Nightingale Sing On New Year’s Eve?

First race is off at 12h05

The last meeting of 2023 today has been moved from Hollywoodbets Scottsville to the Hollywoodbets Greyville turf track and eight races are carded.

Don’t forget about the free to play Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge with the first due off at 12h05.

The first jackpot is off at 13h50 and a R250 000 carryover should see the pool rocket to R1 million!

Hollywoodbets-sponsored Trainer Gareth van Zyl sends out Nightingales Sing in Race 5 and she is the possible Pick 6 and carryover Jackpot banker.

She raced from a handy position over 1600m last time and stayed on to finish third.

The daughter of Lancaster Bomber should be at home over 2000m. She meets the right field today and should take a power of beating.

African Dusk from the Garth Puller stable represents decent each way value in Race 4.

He showed good signs of a form return in his last start over 1600m on the polytrack.

The manner in which he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. He takes a drop-in class and from pole position, he should be the one to beat.

Distance changes; Race 4 now 1800m, while races 5 and 6 are now run over 2000m.
