De Melo Returns For Snaith In Season Climax

Dear Mr Editor. Not sure where to post this subject. Could someone please explain the terms, " black type/non black type". Is it the level or quality of a race won....

I'm a big fan of De Melo , but can't agree with you more, there are plenty of compotent local riders around, especially in Gauteng, unfortunately in some centres too many bad horses racing, KZN is an example which doesn't help up and coming jockeys in improving their

I disagree entirely! Nothing wrong with bringing in world-class international riders to boost our racing and improve the punters chances of winning.

For 3 years now the jockey's title has been handed on a silver platter to the front-runner!? Nobody chased them down. Or made it a contest. Sure all three got the best rides, but that was because they got the winners and delivered the goods! And their agents did their homework to find the right rides. This year Richard Fourie was riding against the blind school! The jockeys in SA don't take the championship seriously (bar Richard of course!). They are quite content in their comfort zones to let the frontrunner walk away with the prize! Over the past 3 years Kennedy, De Melo and now Fourie had no competition! Remember a few years ago when Fortune made a concerted effort to win the championship, what a great season that was! Or when Lerena and Marcus were chasing each other, also a while ago!

So I fully agree with Mr Snaith to bring in top jocks on the big days which adds to the hype of the day! If we cannot have international horses partaking in our top races, then international jockeys are the next best thing! And at least international jockeys are not scared to ride in the

I don't think it's fair that the local jockeys get up to ride work 5am in the mornings for these top stables and then don't get a ride on those top horses on the big days ...take Sean Veale for example for the

I'm not sure if See It Again had the legs to take the gap like Oriental Charm did. OC was prepped for the July to a T, and with the weight advantage SIA didn't stand a

Is it not time for Hollywoodbets greyville to call time on it's operations and let Hollywoodbets scottsville take all the meetings. They put up better fields programme. Let even the July handicap be taken over by Hollywoodbets

Monday – Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Racemeeting Abandoned

Gauteng is open for business. Snaith and company are welcome to enter their athletes here, they can't let them idle there, owners want their horses racing no matter where just race. The upkeep of these animals is not cheap. There won't be much racing in the Cape this winter, what with their top jockeys not prepared to have splatterings of mud on their

Hello Mr Editor

Did you enjoy a day off
What is the weather like around Hwbets Kenilworth, how much rain recorded in last 10 days or so.

Back to the article - this is good news, was hoping my favorite Jock Lyle would also return

Frankie Zackey... I agree 1 mil % ... This is where I agree with Mr Witz

This is bs, yet on other days we'll have multiple graded and listed races
Makes no sense, not sure how many went to the course, and how big the pools were.

Come on GC and Hwbets, you can do better (planning and spacing) than
