Another Champion Bloodline Sneaks Off To Stud

Karoo Gold ,, best wishes with all barn doors broken!!
With all the emphasis on black and blue types ,,, and yes those selling will be quick to rattle off how well this is suppose to work and include ingenious examples worked by huge figures ,, is all nullified by the simple fact that YOU just do not KNOW what will land. Surely the door needs to stay open for that unsuspected champion that hails from no AI land? My simple test for cheapies at the sales is based on whether heart is visible as in amount of offspring to winners.
Take a mare I bred with that foaled 5 individuals who all raced and bar 1 ( due to injury) all won as follows 3wins, 5wins, 6wins, 3wins. All of these runners were good to nice looking individuals with no obvious defects ,,, and yet all said and done I was battled to recoup their breeding cost at the sales. The stallions were all from Ascot stud and had reasonable form.
My suggestion to those purchasing is to look past the hype of black type(that on balance is a mirage)and have a expert eye value what is actually at

Cape Racemeeting Abandoned

The people who setup the race meeting for the 2024 must know that July has the most rain fall. Every year we had racing at Hollywoodbets Durbanville race course starting from July to September but this year it seems not to be. Only now they want to change to Durbanville after five race meeting has been abandon so who will take responsibility for poor programming. Owners pay hefty keep for their horses in training with no income to show. In total 15 juvenile races has been abandon witch will never make up for the losses so can someone explain what happened to the one hundred thousand bonus of juvenile races where is that money go

Well done Schalkie, on getting a stakes winning son of Trippi. Dynamite comes in small packages, Northern Dancer being a prime example.
Karoo breeders will have access to a growing number of decent stallions. Gold Standard, underrated Lance, now Wild Coast, things are looking

That's why I admire the English jockeys, the national hunt riders. Those guys ride in pouring rain and snow, over jumps!! And the American jocks, watch the Kentucky Derby at the beginning of May, rain and sleet.
Maybe we should get those guys to come ride here during winter! I can't wait to welcome Keagan De Melo back at the end of the month, he'll ride these guys to

See It Again – Surely Ready For A Change Of Luck

Fact is the highest rated horse in the country has only managed to add a Grade 2 to his CV this (nearly concluded) season, leaving many of his followers sceptical and wary.
Let's hope that SIA at least strikes (!) the front at some stage in the running of the Champions Cup.

The Enchanting Currency Of Fate

It is eerie to think that there would have been no Siren’s Call, Sound Of Warning, or for that matter Call To Unite, had fate not decreed that Enchanted Cove follow her dam to South Africa, and that Peter de Beyer had the foresight to return Elusive Fort back home from the States as well!
