Oh Ok, so for the regional trainers title it is only for winners in the that specific province. In other words the winners, that Gavin Van Zyl has had in the Western Cape for example, don't count for the KZN

The sport of kings and queens both on the turf and on the parade rings as well as on the grand stands as patrons and enthusiasts of racing..probably thee most important order of merits after the animals being horses themselves..the next hero's and heroines are the owners ...jockeys and trainers then come the punters and the general public ...my opinion is that the little punters that keep the sport going for years are 5 rand punters that hold the sport in high esteem...but unfortunately those has been relegated to behind rails of demarcation without any recognition of their effort ...in them horse racing is lively hood and entertainment...bravo I must say for the recognition of the groom's ..South African racing faces a future no one knows where it will go...but the vision must be greater than influencer paparazzi marketing frenzy that only come once in big occasion and neglect the preparation journey when the main athlete being the horse needs same attention and frenzy to get used to the occasions of when the rich and elite descends to the grandstands of historic RSA turfs when the mainstays who never hold any nickel will be relegated to the back of the pages without any voice whatsoever if at all they can even afford a ticket to go through ...racing has neglected these fanatics and only when Betway and Hollywood and likes came to the fire...was at least punters recognised and that's not politicking but facts ...I believe that is where the sport need to even have a... read more

Yes Cecil I also read that article, David Thiselton compares the chances of the Tarry entries versus those of Snaith on Gold Cup day.
Another interesting angle when looking at whether Sean can make up the leeway on Justin, is that Richard Fourie rides for both stables - so Richie may play a role in how events unfold.
