Frankie Zackey... Couldn't agree more... unfortunately the novice player wouldn't know any better,,so thank you Mr Ed and Mr GB for taking the time out to explain... Mr Ed have horses been able to work in the last couple of day's ? Will we see fit enough horses come Wednesday and so on ? Let's hope the show is not for one trainer only... Cheers

Kannemeyer And Khaya Step Out The Royalty

Wow, that's a great pic of Hollywoodbets Scottsville. Really shows the dip and rise of the course. Pity our commentators don't always mention the features of the racetrack like they do in the UK, past the bushes, tattenham corner, swinley bottom etc. Hell, even Ngong is famous for its's cemetery

Tellytrack – Have Your Say!

Hi Joey

Cape Racing Chairman Greg Bortz responded as follows to your note:

It doesn’t matter that the gentleman in question can see the bright sunshine today. The course is still wet. We couldn’t race today even if we wanted to.

We have moved the meeting for Wed to Hollywoodbets Durbanville (and the one after that).
The fact he sees rain in the forecast, and sun today, doesn’t make the course ready to race today.

We have excellent drainage, but unprecedented rainfall means conditions underfoot are still dangerous. We have made these assessments based on the input of jockeys and the safety of horses and riders.

Like your frustrated reader, we too would like racing!
Regards
Gregory Bortz

Hi Joey
Have you considered that the course was not raceable today, despite the sunshine?
We will pass the query on to CR management.

Sorry Editor your response does not cut it for me.

Todays meeting could have taken place albeit under heavy conditions with the ever improving weather.
Do these people take cognizance of the forecasts?
Cape racing is seemingly run by dinosauric mindsets.

Furthermore,if they bemoan loss of revenues,I'll be in the front of the queue to knock them.

I've sent a message direct to Kenilworth racing but I guess I won't get any response from that branch of Jurassic park.
Thank you for entertaining my gripes.😉

I won't trouble you again Sir.

Happy racing

I'm so hoping you are right I can't see trying to protect the trainers championship being worth messing up a horses merit rating
Let's say Hluhluwe beats SIA by a length which is easily done what happens to his merit rating is this race with

Kannemeyer And Khaya Step Out The Royalty

Hello Mr Editor

You in winter mode, you can do better 😀

Kannemeyer steps out Royalty in Lucrative style I would say

Lucrative! This was a good win, not sure how strong the field, but that last bit, wow.

Happy for Dean, real Mr Cool. What a Lekker day, happy I left before the last race 💥

Take care. Albert Falls Greetings

Hi there,
Just a comment about Kenilworth management.
I believe that the decision to move Monday's meet to Wednesday is ridiculous to say the least...the current weather to monday is 🌞.
Rain is forecast for Tuesday and early Wednesday.
Another cancelled meeting is pending and loss of further revenue...surely more thought was neccessary here.
Thanks for taking my gentle

The Enchanting Currency Of Fate

It is eerie to think that there would have been no Siren’s Call, Sound Of Warning, or for that matter Call To Unite, had fate not decreed that Enchanted Cove follow her dam to South Africa, and that Peter de Beyer had the foresight to return Elusive Fort back home from the States as well!
