Many posters seem not to read the NHA reports or the rules...
There is a table...applicable to ALL transgressors of the whip rule...by which fines and suspensions are meted out...it increases all the time with the jocks "history" in this regard..
Khumalo was the first one to be fined according to this table and since then he has had many many more transgressions so...in a manner of speech...he is leading the transgressions list and will therefore always be the first to feel the increased wrath of the NHA and a heavier penalty...until he learns to abide by the rules which are the same for each and every jockey....

Your comment is shocking, if you are indeed here to save the horses, your opinion should be no whips in racing or no racing at all rather than that opinion towards just one individual.
This is a fairly new rule worldwide, do you think great jockeys of yesteryear were all 12 strike counters. Further there is clearly misconceptions and ignorance towards the padding of the new whips which does not harm horses.
Poor jocks, you try to win the biggest race and you get heavily criticized and punished, you don't ride them out, you get labeled a cheat and also get fined. Doomed if you do or you don't.
Considerate and Consistent decision making is the biggest challenge in horse racing. I'm saying punish him but be considerate of all circumstances and consistent in dishing out the punishment.
Lastly there is a reason why Bling has a following in KZN, go look at his riding and stats on July day, I understand this platform has many punters, whom I'm sure back Bling on big days because he is a

I am not very pro NHA but in this case the rules are very clear
Oh my, imagine if Cousin Casey got up to be beat the winner.

One cannot blame the jockey, in the heat and adrenaline of the moment remembering how many strokes he gave throughout the race. Hence why the strokes should be limited to 6 max.
