Mr Editor, could you ask Frankie Zackey if he is up for a public whipping exhibition to prove that the stick is harmless? Say 12 strikes on his backside at a racecourse in full view of the public? Ask him if he is OK with 2 strikes over the limit, I am prepared to do the

Appeal Upheld – Cape Jockey Looks Forward To Next Season

I have watched the race in question a few times - there is absolutely no doubt that if RK rides more vigorously and used his whip in the last 200m his horse wins the race. He also drifted off the rail when the Kotzen was coming up the inside.

Yes let's feel sorry for RK given his circumstances but he did too many incorrect things with this ride that cost punters - no

The rain has been hectic - unless the course is completely unstable - all races should be down the Kenilworth straight untill the weather improves in a few weeks

I have one simple comment on the whipping issue. Watch the UK jockeys and how sparingly they use their whips. I know the rule is different regarding the number of strikes but gee they are really professional, balanced

Opportunity Knocks – Cape Caller Heads To Malaysia

Hi Ed.
Please clarify if you mean youngest caller when he joined or still the youngest. Because as far as I know, nakib is the youngest at age 20
Just checking the facts.

Well done to Devon. It is a wonderful achievement at such a young age. Wishing him all the best. I am a big supporter of young blood in the industry. Love

Hollywoodbets Durban July – Bling Walloped With Massive Fine And Time Off

hi GB, well if you look at stirrups and the way some riders use them to good effect!! The point is,, exactly how much truama is caused vs THE cause ,,,,, whips, weight, unbalanced rider, spurs, stirrups ,,, what has to be first and formost is the survival of this breed in a accountable manner. We have been blessed to have these creatures not only be a form of entertainment but also as a form of income for many and this comes at YES a price, but what is the alternative? They were created to be brave and bold as well as obedient to its owner ( Job 39 for some ) ,, but yes they are entangled at times by those who are desperate, stupid, greedy, arrogant, prideful etc. This is where we need to put our trust in L&O. The one thing i have learned is that this breed need to race, and that demands order
