Whipgate – Lerena & Gates Sanctioned

As a ex owner I now turn my back to South Africa racing. It's a joke. No wonder racing in this country must be sponsored by the wealthy to survive because it can not stand on its own.

It seems that certain blue eyed jockeys have a distinct advantage when it comes to punishment by the NHA. In retrospect since this body isn't doing their job in an unbiased manner it's time to get rid of the board. People need to stop raking sides of guilty jockeys and see them for who they really are. If this was a court of law am sure Lerena would have got a proper sentence instead of the NHAs weak sentence. It's like the NHA is telling other jockeys if we don't like you then you are getting a severe sentence. Can the public have a vote on who sits on the NHA board because it's imperative to have proper unbiased rulings no matter who the jockey is.

Hollywoodbets Durbanville Protest – Jockeys Issue Statement

I am sure Grant's legal team will find easily similar riding offenses, closing the gap at Kenilworth rails, without action taken. One doubt will proof his innocence. NHRA will never apologize. To make a verdict are their sole

Grant we see your point. Clear favouritism. 30 days a joke.
How do you improve the image of racing like this. Now I see the jockeys reason for striking.
Jason please appeal as you did no wrong you were merely defending

Racing Operators Stand Together After Cape Racemeeting Abandoned

Hi Ed..
I have read all 94 comments below & the one striking thing that stands out is that there is not a reply from Vee M or the NHAR.....my grandfather was around when Charlie Barends was riding and he once told me horse racing is the Sport of Kings...it's not what you know, it's who you know...it's still the same today...viva

Hennie if you believe that Gates could have been killed or maimed imagine how I feel about my horses that can be whipped 12 times because it makes no sense to me. Going as far as saying that they'll get killed or maimed I'm not prepared to do because that will make me a drama

Where is the NHA with their apogoly for inconsistancy. Very quiet now that the the jockeys apologized. It does not work like that it takes two to tango very poor from their side we are still awaiting it and it WILL not dissapear until all parties apologizes.
