No MDK horse - he usually enters a good one - last year it was multiple G1 placed and winning Silver

I note there are a few running today and Saturday that are entered for the CG - will be watching with interest.
The Kannemeyer / HW horse Maphaka who is only a 94 runs on Saturday - he was given one of the most gentle rides I have ever seen last time - maybe not at G1 level yet but plenty plenty more to come from this

Mr Ed any idea whether that 1400m Pinnacle in which DtK is supposed to run on SC day, forms part of the P6?
Asking because DtK could potentially be a P6 banker and obviously we'll have the usual carry overs to this type of meeting.

I must be honest - I never ever stop getting amused by the confidence of ignorant / people that talk with knowledge - with so many search engines available - there is simply no excuse for

Sean , well spoken , sales up the figures tell us and yet these days we get smaller and smaller fields all over the country with the odd exception here and there such as that 10th race at Kenilworth on Saturday with a 20 horse field !
What are all these horses that average cost R150000.00 and their erstwhile trainers doing at a keep cost of R12000.00 per month if the owners /s are lucky and the vet`s services are not required that month ?
I am amazed at the amount of trainers that are making a living in South Africa at these sort of numbers or am I missing a trick

Silver Sanctuary never ran in the July after winning the Woolavington, so I'm pretty sure the punter would've got a refund on the scratching.
In any case, that's why it's called gambling! People have their fancies, are confident and want to get in early.
They're not losing your money so get off your high, judgmental

Where is Sean Tarry and World of Alice? Where is Botes? If I were Greg Bortz and co I would be livid. All these incentives and the ‘foreigners’ do not pitch up. Six acceptances for the Cape Punters Cup! It is a 500k race! Do the Bass and Kannemeyer yard not have anything worth entering for all the millions they spend at sales? We have a 250k two year old race and 9 acceptances of which 3 are owned by Bortz. These trainers forget that without him they would not be in business. No Bass, no Crawford, no Marshall. I say reduce the stakes to what they were before Hollywood took over! Let them eat cake!
I request that you publish this post. Any trainer who feels they are being unfairly criticised is more than welcome to respond. The Cape Summer Festival ! What festival

I'll never forget them. Wind pumping away for the last three races. Eighteen horses been loaded for a 1400m straight race and hoping 1 or my two selections would send me home with a place accumulator win. A phone call from the racecourse to home telling my brother, sister and Mom that it is on later that evening for a visit to a restaurant of their choice.

R3.60 for a win and R1.50 a place on our fancy new Tote-Board at Milnerton. I used to stare at the tote-board and hope the money would pour out automatically into my pocket for the next

I will never understand why so many rush to take bets when the final field, jockeys and draws have not been confirmed. It even becomes less appealing as HW was not offering any places over the weekend.
Nobody knows the following:
- how the out of Province horses will travel
- what's the going will be
- there are over 10 days left and so much can happen in work and so on
- parading and canter past
I know someone that took 10k places on Silver Sanctuary for the July after she won the Wolverhampton.
Some punters should just donate their money to
