To say a Jock isn't riding out is an assumption how do we know striker didn't feel something amiss
It baffels me a bit that on one hand the jocks are limited to how many times they may strike a horse and on the other hand the horse must be ridden out to the line regardless it's a strange world I tell you
In the good old days the sharp punters like Franky would just take a note and win the next time
It's the same when a jock makes a mistake or one presumes he wasn't trying just keep that same jock on and it's pay pay next run
It's a complex sport this of ours and nothing is ever straight forward
It's time we allowed our jocks the space to become super stars instead of handicapping how they must ride
With the present system and merit rating it's not so easy to have a good old punt

The charge above is totally different to what happened less than 50m from the line when he was in fourth position.He clearly stood up in the irons and appeared to ease his mount and lost out on 4th ending in 5th position..What happened at the 300m mark is irrelevant at this

In the concluding stages, FREE IN SEATTLE (P Strydom) was steadied and directed inwards in anticipation of running onto the heels of ANNEWITHAN E (G Lerena), which hung out from the 300m.
Jockey P Strydom was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (Appendix E on the use of the crop) in that he misused his crop by striking FREE IN SEATTLE forward of the saddle in the concluding stages.

WOWWWW just had a look at that race again" Free in Seattle" was sure to finish fourth for quartets but Strydom stood up in the irons +- 20meters from the line and ended up fifth.Vaal race 8 won by Two step Queen
