Model Man – A Legend Of The Turf

I remember Model Man beating another Pat Lunn horse, The Barbican over 1100m, remember the Barbican was a 1100m specialist and course 1100m record holder. If I remember correctly that was Model Man's first run after running a place in the Durban

Mike & Muzi Make Model Man Mile Magic

It really was a nice win by Artist's Model, I cannot say much about the opposition but it's always nice to see a promising one from the powerful stable here in Mzansi, we always believe Mr De Kok can turn back the hands of the clock And bring us Champions like Muisir, Horse Chestnut, Irish Flame, Bold Silvano, Igugu, Happy Valley to name just a few; I had goosebumps when these horses were running and Jocks that sat on top of these horses make me to feel like losing my hair, from the gentle-hands of Johnny G, Kevin Shea, Weichong Marwing and the lethal Anthony Delpech, racing will never be the same again. I give all my respect to the gentleman of the Mr Michael De Kock; Sir, in you we

Goodbye Country Course On Tuesday

I agree with Michael, I found it a real shame that some jockeys went straight to the start, without any canter, basically throwing a middle finger to so many punters and new fans. Is this something Cape Racing will address? Snaith didnt seem to like the country course either, his comments mostly along the lines that basically most of his horses can only run at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth, poor form really. I found this stint at Hollywoodbets Durbanville a breath of fresh air, Cape Racing did a stirling job, and we really need more races at this

Irish Racing Crackdown – Aidan O’Brien Speaks Out

Hi Liam
Nobody will ever stop you or anyone from having a bet on the horses, they want to crack down on advertising
We are seeing it all over from the big players, not going to mention names as I'm sure to get binned but let look at our Airports and constantly get bombarded about how easy it is to win win win with pop ups etc on our mobiles and TV
Check on Google which countries have cracked down on advertising online gambling etc

Goodbye Country Course On Tuesday

I enjoyed the country course. It has a quaint and rural atmosphere with a laid-back and easygoing feel. So easy to watch the parade-ring, canter past and race in close proximity.

Only gripe I had was that some horses went straight down to the start at the back entrance, and one couldn't see them canter! That's not right and deprives punters of a valuable form guidance. Jockeys must ensure all horses walk to the 100m mark on the main straight and canter down from
