See It Again – Surely Ready For A Change Of Luck

The year when Surfing Home (USA) won the July he was disqualified for causing interference in the closing stages to the fifth placed horse Pas De Quoi.
Space Walk, the runner-up was declared the winner and Pas De Quoi promoted to 4th!
How is that incident different to this year's running as it is clear for everyone to see that Oriental Charm caused some interference to See It Again.
I'm not unhappy about the result. I am happy that a Cape horse won and that it was a horse owned by Mr Bortz, who has done wonders for Cape racing, but there must be consistency to the rules. I don't know if things changed since the days of Surfing Home, a relentless galloper who Pas De Quoi would not have beat but PDQ would most likely have finished closer than

Thanks Mr Ed

I note some visiting Jocks from up North, best of them our hometown boy Brewer 💪🏻

Its been cold Sun and Monday with Hi winds, but nothing like some places elsewhere

Tomorrow; it's actually gonna be around 28°%.
Should be a magic day for racing.

Have a few rands on My boy Lollipop before the mob gets on, you gave him such a nice write up last time and then ...Nah, we stay positive here.

Tarry’s Golden Horseshoe 1-2

This was the best race and win of the Day for me personall,at 9/1 pre race day was gift for two Christmases,Punters saw through the cracks of false favourite smashed the bookies down to 5/2 at one time,Hands and heels even Tarry said Proceed was unlucky, when it got close the Champion 2year old pulled away again with no whip not once.Dont be fooled punters this horse Cosmic Speed will win a Grade 1 ,doubt it will still be in the Country in 6 months...Be a Dennis Edwards with his Song "Don't look any further" follow

Hi Michael, so true, look I think our Academy is still tops, the riding masters are doing great work.

Like most in SA I was behind Richard going for this record. If you look at all his 2nd places as well, man, he is a CUT above the rest.

Oh, we have some good jocks. I just don't know how the guys at the bottom survive, definitely not all are sponsored.

Your last comment is hilarious, will get us into trouble again, but it's true 🙂

Take care

Hollywoodbets Durban July – Rough Stuff, But Crawford Does It Again!

Hey Neill, I stay clear of politicians normally!

I really hope he made some bucks on the July but I just can't see him bet on a Van der Merwe 🙂

Ek Neem aan dis Lekker koud in jou wêreld. I'm told it's so cold up there, some people in Brakpan, Benoni and Boksburg are wearing underwear and longs
( Not that there is anything wrong with not wearing it )😅

Mr Ed, talking of good people, Pls drop Pieta an email, geez he is quiet, bet you he won big

Hollywoodbets Durban July – Rough Stuff, But Crawford Does It Again!

The HWB July has come and gone, but there's still a bit of gossip about the fashion wear on the day.
IOL reproduced a pic which mr Julius Malema posted on his way to the July, with his wife splendid in blue to match the July theme, and he equally handsome in tuxudo and bow tie.
His shoes were the focus point of attention though, with twitterati being of the view that these were a pair of Christian Louboutin-Croteo's, retailing at R28000.
Hopefully mr Malema had a bet on Oriental Charm, who, in hindsight, proved to be a shoe in at the weights!

Sad. Is taking up the running of another horse (SIA) not reason for an objection.
Rather let the stewards decide.
Offending jock got a suspension. There is merit for an objection.

Refer to other July objections.
Place punters on SIA

Good day Cecil, remember the days when we had a dozen to 20 top jocks competing at the same time? Now it's only Richard! And maybe Lerena, Khumalo, Yeni, Domeyer, GrantGVN when they are in the mood! At one stage we had the best academy and jocks in the world! And none of them can ride in the

Hi Guys, Just a quick thought on SIA. If you watch him run, I think he needs a stronger rider. With all due respect to Striker... at his age he is more of a balanced rider with a good judge of pace. SIA is a big horse who takes time to get going so someone like R Fourie will definitely suit him better. With a stronger ride the horse will get going sooner. Hope Nick and Michael consider changing jockeys. The horse is now 5 so time is running
