Fortune Denied Chance To Ride Again

Hey Mark 🙂

We'll find that log shot in CT soon

Jockey Veale

Yesterday got the Habib one right but I must learn to add Striker, man the ballie is riding well

No no you not the worst tipster, do you watch Channel 240 lol, some guys give you pick 6s and JPs that are way out. But following race talk as if 'we still running' 🤣

That's racing, and Frank is so quiet, NO tips

Monday- Laird Duo Could Send Us Over The Exotic Moon

Hello Geoff

Agree with your summary. Yes I did see the tongue, what a run with that weight

He'll win his races over 1600m, beautiful horse

They should send him back to Natal where it all started
I was one of a handful at Hollywoodbets Scottsville when he won at 40/1

Frank is quiet 🤫

Take care Geoff all that Howick water is on its way to us

In my opinion - he could maybe maybe have won yesterday if a better judge of pace was riding - in my useless opinion - Striker and JP are the two best judges of pace that I've noted.

Iam interested to see which jockey will be engaged for the SC - that will make it 4 different jockeys this

Well I could be way off the mark but in my opinion Main Defender is a Champion Miler of the day, I know there was 11kgs in the weight's column but I still believe MD would have won if they were racing over a mile, come Summer Cup MD would be cherry-ripe and surely should win it but the distance is going to tell a different story, hence I do not see MD winning the Summer Cup, maybe a place at his very very best, but still would remain a Champion Miler, don't get me wrong I don't own or train the horse it is just my opinion as I am a big fan of this lovely specimen and always enjoy watching it over a mile. So as far as 1600m is concerned bring them on and MD will deliver especially @ the moment, he is back to his best, you saw the way he came to Greeting My Master it was only the distance that bit him. Main Defender is a Champion Miler in the County or be it in the

Why would so few 3 year old males accept for a well-endowed feature race that is an ideal prep race for the summer season and the upcoming features? Is the MR handicapping system scaring off potential runners in the 90-100 MR bracket that don't want to take on 110+ rivals? Or does it make more sense for horses to stand in their boxes?

The "Punters Cup" should be a celebration of the punter, one of the key stakeholders who funds the sport, and the field should be reflective of that; a big field, competitive and open, a betting race that brings punters to the course as a precursor to the big classics, yet this paltry field does'nt inspire much excitement. 15 to 20 runners in a "heritage" style race would be an ideal punters race and live up to its name. I'm not sure why it's called a punter's race anyway, because nothing happens oncourse to entice punters to the track. A "punters race" should be geared towards the punters with some form of incentives and promotions to usher in the new season! Is there a genuine attempt to grow the bettor/fan base or is it just to maintain the status quo, keeping racing elitist and

Striker Earns His National Colours

Agree, Piere's career record says it all.
Gavin is a master craftsman too, when it comes to jockeyship.
Interesting, race 3 today has now been reduced to only 4 runners, with the bookies making it a two horse race between Piere and Gavin's mounts - same weight, drawn 1 and 2.
Who's it gonna be?
(Just adding a little bit of spice to the meeting 🤔)

Main Defender good run by a very good horse but certainly not a champion except in the " looks " department , this horse is one of the best in the country at present but not beyond a mile , that is the top of his distance range and at weight for age should win many races into this season in all centres

Striker Earns His National Colours

OH! NO! Striker got me stone-cold with those 3 winners early on, completely ravaged my Free To Play ( Punters Challenge), however well done to Joey Soma & Calvin Habib for boosting the Pick Six with that 33/1 long-shot in Race 8, although it came at a price; about 7 guys were still running @ 100 percent on the Punters Challenge however they were all outdone by the 33/1 Rule By Force and they live to fight another day. As for Striker, You are a gentleman of the Turf and you deserve every good thing coming your way, Bravo

Is there no Western Cape meeting this week? I see 3 race meetings in Gauteng ( excluding yesterday), 2 at Greyville and 1 at Fairview.

Hi Cecil,

A very brave run from Main Defender. He was giving the winner 11kg!! That is massive. I think he tired just the last 100 meters. Shame did you see his tongue lolling out the side of his mouth? Just glad that Gavin didn't punish him, not that he would have.

To me MD didn't stay in the conditions - but Striker might have been able to sit a little longer.

Great run by MD conceding so much of weight - the SC will be tougher over further in likely softer
