The only way for now is to declare every TCO2 scratching for now a winner in all exotics either that or refund the bets taken
I'm Hoping they scrap the testing for the July meeting in reality they don't need to advise anyone just don't test
Luckily for Me Hluhluwe is a rather laid back fellow until saddling time so he shouldn't be hyped up with inaccurate results
He is probably the only horse of Justins they won't test I can assure you every one of Tony's runners plus the reserves plus Franky will be tested on July

The travesty is that horses like Main Defender never got to race in the KZN Guineas.
Now One Stripe misses the Langerman. They'll never be able to run in those races again. The mere fact that consideration is being given to raise the threshold will only further serve to incite the fury of the supporters of Main Defender. This horse has lost a chunk of his 3 year old career due to the shenanigans of a select few.
I like to think of myself as a fair person and the treatment of a certain trainer has experienced doesn't strike me as being fair. He was condemned on this same platform just a few weeks ago and now that the goal posts have been shifted, makes me really wonder if there really is a personal agenda here.
For me, the real loser here is the game of horseracing. We are being robbed of an opportunity to watch the best horses run. That's the travesty.
The solution for me is to suspend this testing as an until such time all the flaws are ironed out and unanimously vetoed from all relevant stakeholders.
If I was the owner of Main Defender, One Stripe or Cape Eagle , I would seriously reconsider buying a horse with all this uncertainty.
The problem horseracing has its no longer the only game in town. Punters doing there money in cold blood will only further enhance the exodus of horse lovers.

Its obvious that the authorities have little or scant respect for the punting public.
The current status quo is if a horse you selected is scratched then it automatically goes onto the favourite.
Personally I believe there is bias and you have no chance of correcting your exotic bet.
I believe that if due to testing.or scratching at the start your exotic bet should be refunded.as you have no control over it. A bet that knowingly includes a scratching before the race should not be refunded as you knowingly put it in.
All tickets are timestamps so its easy to update the payout system to accept or reject a

This is very unfair to the punters, as we had multiple of these horses in our exotics and losing our of money due to these crappy procedures implemented minutes before the race. Surely this could be done earlier in the morning and horses scratched prior to racetime, to allow punters a fair chance. This needs to be seriously addressed prior to the Hollywoodbets Durban July to prevent unhappy

I don't think most will never consider VM a doping artist.
Horses are going to test positive - fancied horses will get scratched and punters will be lumped with the tote favourite.

Yeah it's rather sad that the public were denied the chance to see a proper racehorse in action...Because of things going pear-shaped for Main Defender,,the owners have decided on giving Durban a complete miss,, which now means that we'll most probably see the Champ back around September/October... It breaks ones heart when visiting the Champ back at the yard,, knowing in my heart that Main Defender could have done South African horseracing so proud if things just went according to plan...Anyway there's still a small chance of still getting a invite from HK,, if not,, then Saudi Arabia could be a option knowing that they are also very keen on inviting Top Racehorses over from all around the world... Chatting to Robin Bruss a few weeks back,,who btw is very jacked up about Saudi racing advised that we should really consider going to Saudi with Main Defender..Anyway we leaving it in God's hands to decide the best way forward for Main

I think that to scratch a horse that late is toyally unacceptable. All of a sudden you have to jump into a que to change your bet and still place another, but that your other bets is now compromised as well, which you can do nothing about. There are various factors that contribute to TC02 levels. How do I know as "punter" what horse to back and what horse is going to test positive?
I actually don't believe that on a day what has determined the TC02 levels. Rather test after. Punters don't lose that way.

Yes any horse scratched for whatever reason must be included as a winner for exotics...best solution why should punters pay for these incidents like willow wild being scratched at the start at 5 to 10 yday and killing many bipot and pa tickets or hawwam hot pot favourite for July 2019 but hey the tote favourite arrived do it again so everyone is shtoom like race 1 today let Leon smuts have his dream come true where everyone is a winner and nobody

Most of the writers said what we all think, some came with tangible solutions.
Lets hope that the people who occupy the authoritive positions, can make a quick win win decision, sooner rather than later
We love the sport, our fathers and grandfathers loved the sport, but this current situation is tantamount to abuse.
As they say, enough is enough.
Thank you Deva for highlighting this issue on this platform. Hopefully more will voice their unhappiness and force the authorities to make a decision
