b) BEECHAMWOOD BOY (C Habib) over-raced in the early and middle stages.
c) Entering the straight the breastplate on LAGUNA VERDE (C Zackey) became unfastened.
d) HIAWATHA GOLDBERG (C Maujean) was hanging out from the 200m.
e) Jockey C Zackey reported that LAGUNA VERDE took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
f) Jockey R Danielson signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 66.4 in that he weighed in more than 1kg above the weight at which he was declared out. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R1000 was imposed.
g) MRS GERIATRIX (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (DZ).
