Jockey Luyolo Mxothwa, who will have a career first ride in the Gr1 Vodacom Durban July next Saturday, is riding at the top of his game at the moment and with seven rides today, he may worth following.

Jimmy The Rich writes that trainer Brett Crawford saddles Our Prized Jewel in Race 7. She ran a good race when finishing second in her comeback run over 1500m.

She set the pace that day before getting caught in the latter stages. She has won three times and finished second once from five starts on this course.

The daughter of Duke Of Marmalade should strip much fitter and she may be hard to peg back.

Royal Grove from the Eric Sands stable takes his place in Race 4. He is lightly raced with decent form to his credit.

The manner in which he stayed on to finish third last time was encouraging.

The son of Dynasty will love the step up in distance and with a bit of luck from his awkward draw, he should find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

The winter course false rail is 2m out from the 1700m mark with a 5m spur at the 470m mark.
