The Candice Bass-Robinson stable saddles Master Archie today in Race 1(Pic- Chase Liebenberg)

Jimmy The Rich writes that Master Archie from the Candice Bass-Robinson stable can open up the meeting. He has produced two good efforts to date.

He should have finished closer last time as he hung from the 300m mark.

The son of Rafeef will enjoy the extra furlong on offer today. If keeping on a straight line, he should shed his maiden tag.

Greg Cheyne will be taking the ride on Master Archie today.

Eric Sands sends out Larentina in Race 7. She finished 0.75 lengths behind Major Attraction last time.

She is 1kg better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

She has won twice and finished third twice from eight starts over this distance. The tongue tie remains fitted and she can return to winning ways.

Craig Zackey will not be riding today as he is medically indisposed, while Keagan de Melo and Warren Kennedy will not be riding today due to flight complications.

The summer course false rail is at it’s original position with a 5m spur at the 600m mark.

  • The Bipot starts in the first at 12h55
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second at 13h30
