Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth race at 14h25

Racing takes place in the Mother City at Kenilworth Racecourse this afternoon.

Eight races are scheduled and the first race is due off at 12h40.

Giacomo Puccini from the Justin Snaith stable could be the one to close off the meeting. He ran a good race when finishing second over this course and distance, five weeks ago.

He raced from a handy position that day, but found one too good in the form of Adios Amigos. He takes a drop in class this afternoon and can notch up his third career victory.

Trainer Piet Botha sends out Miss Millstream in the penultimate race on the card.

She finished 0.5 lengths behind Lilac Sensation last time. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

She is likely to race up with the pace and may be hard to peg back in the run down to the line.

The summer course false rail is at its original position with a 3m spur at the 600m mark. Start is forward of zero by 3m.

  • The Bipot starts in the first at 12h40
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second at 13h15
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third at 13h50
  • Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth race at 14h25
  • Jackpot 2 starts in the fifth race at 15h05
