Alec Laird sends out Fire Attack in Race 5 (Pic – Candiese Lenferna)

Fire Attack from the Alec Laird stable takes his place in Race 5. He produced a good comeback run when sixth in the Betway Gr3 Graham Beck Stakes last time.

He should have finished closer to the winner that day as he had to be switched for running room at the 300m mark.

The son of Fire Away would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. With a bit of luck in running, he should find himself in the winner’s enclosure. Calvin Habib takes the ride.

Hollywoodbets-sponsored Trainer Fanie Bronkhorst sends out Callaburn in Race 7. He has decent consistent form lines to his credit.

He finished 2.5 lengths behind Guy Alexander in his penultimate effort.

He is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He finished second in his only course and distance attempt.

If jumping on terms, he may be rewarded for consistency.

Race 8 No 3 DARK SILVER had a 175 day break due to recovering from a upper respiratory tract infection.
