The Western Cape Racing Association Awards will be taking place at Kenilworth on Thursday 7 August 2014.

The WPRRA Awards Committee is tasked with rewarding those owners, trainers, jockeys and horses that have achieved excellence through their contribution to Western Cape Racing

To avoid any confusion and debate, the following guidelines and parameters will be employed in respect of the various categories of winners and will likewise continue to be utilized in the future:

Horses – any horse trained by a Western Cape domiciled trainer

Trainers – the leading Western Cape domiciled trainer as per the National Log in respect of Stakes

Jockeys – the leading Western Cape  domiciled rider as per the National Log in respect of winners

Any Award given is at the sole discretion of the Committee so tasked and is final and binding and no discussion thereon, nor correspondence will be entered into in this regard.

Kindly note that the provisional list of Nominees when published in due course, is subject to change as the current Season ends on 31 July 2014.
