Watchman Can Keep Us Safe Today

First due off @ 12h05

Today’s local racemeeting takes place at Turffontein Racecourse on the Inside course.

An eight-race programme has been carded for this afternoon with first due off at 12h05 and the lucky last set for 16h15.

Trainer Tony Peter sends out Watchman in Race 3 and he is the possible Pick 6 banker. He produced a promising debut effort over this course and distance.

He showed good speed and tried hard all the way to the line.

Calvin Habib will take the ride on the son of Var who would have gained from the experience and in this field and should take a power of beating.

Silvano’s Song from the Stuart Pettigrew stable takes his place in Race 6.

He stayed on when sixth over 1800m on the Standside course last time. The son of Silvano has dropped in the ratings and he takes a drop in class.

Calvin Habib is booked to ride and with luck in running, he can notch up his second-career victory.
