Lean On Lenferna

Saint-Cloud and Romme

There are two lunch-time venues today that may be worth following. The first race at Saint-Cloud is carded to go off at 11h10 and the first at Romme at 12h20,.

Gold Circle’s Warren Lenferna hasn’t tipped a local loser for almost eight weeks now and is champing at the bit.

He stopped pacing up and down for ten minutes this morning waiting for racing to get the green light and focussed on a few horses that could be worth including in your bets today.

  • SAINT-CLOUD:

Race 3:

NATIONAL SERVICE (1) is a three year old colt and won on debut albeit on the 12th December last year. He could be anything and his fitness will have to be taken on trust – watch the betting too. I am looking forward to seeing him run.

Race 4:

WAAHAAT (2) is showing all the right signs. She is drawn at gate 1 today, won on debut and finished second last time, also, some time ago. She looks an exciting prospect but may need this – same as the runner in the third, the fitness will have to be taken on trust.

Race 5:

GANNAT (1) has run five times for three places and two wins. She gets a huge weight to carry and that is the concern – more than this being her first run since November last year. She could make a winning comeback but whatever happens here, is a horse to follow.

  • ROMME:

Race 1:

GLOBAL U.S.A (2) is a four time winner, has some solid form but is returning from a long rest. She could make a winning comeback.

Race 2:

VALER NIKOLAI (1) has won seven, ran well last time and can win. Plenty of cheek can come from TYRI LOKE (11).

Race 3:

ARNE ANKA (2) has finished second in his last two starts. He is a ten year old and might be able to, this time, go one better.

Race 6:

ALBERT ZONETT (2) has won his last two and looks set to continue on winning ways.

Race 7:

VOLT FACE (7) can carry on winning ways and the obvious danger looks to be M.T PERETTE. She could be anything.

Race 11:

There are many first timers here so keep an eye on the betting. It could end up being a race fought out between the obvious two on form. MUSCLEMATTERS (1) and GEORDIA AM (10) with slight preference for Musclematters.

“Thank you for sharing the same passion as we all do and let us hope as I said earlier that we will be back racing sooner than later,” concluded Warren.
