Venniker’s Eager For Today!

The first race at Hollywoodbets Greyville is off at 12h00

Racing takes place on the polytrack at Hollywoodbets Greyville this afternoon and nine races are carded.

The Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge is free to play, and if you finish in the top 20 on the leader board, you can win your share of R10 000.

The first is due off at 12h00.

Rachel Venniker will be riding Priceless Ruler in race 4 today (Pic – Candiese Lenferna)

Priceless Ruler from the Dennis Drier stable takes his place in Race 4. He was an easy winner over this course and distance last time.

He quickened up well and the manner in which he drew clear of the opposition was encouraging. He is unbeaten from four starts over this course and distance. Rachel Venniker takes the 1.5kgs off his back and he is capable of keeping that record intact.

Hollywoodbets-sponsored trainer Kumaran Naidoo saddles Funky Music in the lucky last race. He is having his first run for the yard. He raced from a handy position over 1450m last time, but tired late.

It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. He jumps from a good draw of two and if suited to the polytrack, he can notch up his fourth career victory.

Please note that S Veale will not be riding today.
