Trainer Frank Robinson sends out Mocha Blend in Race 3. She produced an eye-catching debut effort over 1400m on the polytrack.
She lost two lengths leaving the start, understandably raced green but the way she finished off her race was encouraging.
The daughter of Ideal World would have gained from the experience and should love the rise to 1950m.
With the natural improvement that is expected and with jockey Sean Veale on board, she should take a power of beating.
Emerald Green from the Louis Goosen stable takes her place in Race 7. She is much better than her last two starts suggest.
She found the 1000m on the sharp side last time and faced a competitive field in her penultimate run. She finished 1.9 lengths behind Rafeef’s Choice, three runs ago.
She is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.
Her best form has come under Chase Maujean and if showing her true colours, she can return to winning ways.
