Alec Laird sends out Fire Attack (Pic – Candiese Lenferna)

Trainer Alec Laird sends out Fire Attack in Race 2. He showed very good improvement when second in his last start over 800m at Turffontein.

Despite losing a length at the start, he showed good pace and fought hard all the way to the line.

The son of Fire Away is a progressive type and if getting away to a clean start, he should be the one to beat.

Munchkin from the Lucky Houdalakis yard takes his place in Race 6. He was a tad disappointing in his last start over 1600m at Turffontein.

His penultimate run when fourth over 1500m on this course, catches the eye.

The son of Rafeef has dropped to a competitive rating and in this field, he can return to winning ways.

Apprentice Siyanda  Sosibo rode his 50th winner at Turffontein on 25 january and no longer claims an allowance.

Please also note that Marco van Rensburg (Family Responsibility) & Craig Zackey (Medically Indisposed) will not be riding today.
