Vaal Classic – Soft But Safe For Racing

Today’s race meeting on the Vaal main track has been moved to the Vaal Classic Track.

After a further 4mm amount rainfall in the last 24 hours and a total of 40, 5mm of rainfall in the last 7 days,  the Vaal main track has surface water in certain areas and is unsafe for racing.

However after gallops this morning on the Vaal Classic Track , it was unanimous that the conditions of the track is soft, but raceable.

An updated track report will be sent out by 08h30.

Voluntary scratchings will be permitted until 08h15.

Distance changes as follows :

Races 8,9+10 will now be run over 1450m.

All other distances remain as is.

Race times remain as carded.
