Vaal Classic First Is At 12h20 Today

Wyzeact looks the business in the seventh

Eight races are carded on the Vaal Classic course this afternoon.

The first is due off at 12h20 with the lucky last set for 16h25.

It’s another great chance to win big in the Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge – get you free entry in five minutes before the first.

Wyzeact from the Corne Spies stable takes his place in Race 7.

He should have finished closer to the winner last time as he received a bump at the 100m mark from the winner.

Trainer Corne Spies – a possible winner today. He is seen chatting to Gold Circle’s Warren Lenferna (Pic – Candiese Lenferna)

He is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. The son of Act Of War looks to be above average and he is the horse to beat.

Trainer Heinrich van der Westhuizen sends out Sigrid Swing in Race 3.

She was given a peach of a ride when winning her last start over this course and distance. She ran on powerfully and got the upper hand late.

The daughter of William Longsword received a two-pound penalty for that victory. She is likely to be settled near the rear of the field once again and can follow up.

Please note that jockey Hennie Greyling is not riding today.
