The Ridgemont Highlands based Canford Cliffs was represented by his 16th stakes winner when his three-year-old son Money Matters won the Listed Rangeview Stud Classic at Bunbury on Sunday.

Trained by Adam Durrant, the gelded Money Matters made it three wins in a row when running out a half length winner of Sunday’s 1400m contest.
Money Matters has now won four of just seven starts, with the three-year-old having won his last two previous starts by more than 10 lengths.
His sire Canford Cliffs had his first South African foals arrive to rave reviews last year.
A five time Gr1 winner, whose top-level successes included triumphs in the Irish 2000 Guineas, Sussex Stakes and Queen Anne Stakes, Canford Cliffs is currently the sire of 35 black type horses, with this tally headed by the group/graded stakes winners Most Beautiful, Fish River, Cliff’s Edge, Painted Cliffs, La Falaise, Al Jazi and Princess Asta.
Other notable progeny of Canford Cliffs include Gr1 Investec Coronation Cup runner up Salouen, East Cape Derby hero Dorset Noble, and Gr1 Investec Oaks third placegetter Harlequeen.
To date, Canford Cliffs’ progeny have earned over $20 000 in prize money.
