New Year’s Eve At Turffontein

The Pick 6 starts in the fourth at 13h10

The last meeting of 2020 takes place at Turffontein this afternoon and a nine-race programme is scheduled. The main event on the day is Race 7 which is a Pinnacle Stakes including the likes of Grade 1 winner Chimichuri Run and also Mr Flood.

It is an early start to the day with the first race off at 11h40.

Jimmy The Rich writes Reunion from the Paul Peter stable is the best bet on the card. He was super-impressive when winning on debut over this distance on the Inside course.

He set the pace that day and won a lot easier than the official margin suggests. It must be noted that the form of that race has worked out very well.

The son of Flower Alley takes on stronger, but he looks to be something special and could be heading to the top.

St John Gray sends out Certifiable in Race 6 and he is currently trading at around 6/1 with Hollywoodbets.

He ran a decent race over 1400m on this course last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked.

He is suited to the drop in distance and will be staying on strongly in the run down to the line.

The false rail is zero on the back straight to 2m on the bend with a 2m spur at 700m.

  • The Bipot starts in the second at 12h10
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the third at 12h40
  • The Pick 6 starts in the fourth at 13h10
  • Jackpot 1 starts in the fifth race at 13h50
  • Jackpot 2 starts in the sixth race at 14h30

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
