Jimmy The Rich writes that the Narrow Creek Stud bred daughter of Flower Alley caught the eye when finishing second on debut over a mile on the Vaal Classic course.

She was slow into stride, but once she found her feet she finished her race off strongly.

She would have come on with the run under her belt and should enjoy the extra distance on offer today. Diego de Gouveia retains the ride and the combination should find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.

Heart Of A Legend is the best value on the day.

She got into the race too late over 1200m on the Vaal Classic course last time.

The 6yo mare will enjoy the rise to the mile and has a record of two wins and four second place finishes from eleven attempts over this distance.

4kgs claiming apprentice Philasande Mxoli takes the ride once again and the pair should be the ones to beat.

The false rail is set at zero on the back straight to 4m on the bend, with a 4m spur at the 700m mark.

  • The Bipot starts in the second at 12h40
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the third at 13h15
  • The Pick 6 starts in the fourth at 13h50
  • Jackpot 1 starts in the fifth race at 14h25
  • Jackpot 2 starts in the sixth race at 15h00

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
