Turffontein Saturday – Important Notice

Every intention to race

4Racing are hosting a twelve-race meeting at Turffontein on Saturday 13 January.

The meeting includes the three features from Sunday’s abandoned fixture.

The Gauteng operators advises that the penetrometer reading was 27 when it was taken on Friday afternoon.

As it stands, although it’s currently raining, they state that they have been fortunate to miss most of the severe storms in Johannesburg.

They advise that it is essential to see what happens overnight, so a decision about racing going ahead will take place between 07h00 and 07h30 on Saturday.

‘We have every intention of saving the meeting , so should racing be unable to go ahead , we will then postpone to either Sunday 14/1/24 or Monday 15/1/24 , weather and forecast dependant,’ concludes the statement.

  • Hollywoodbets Kenilworth is the other local fixture. The weather in Cape Town is beautiful and warm and the first is off at 12h40.
