Turffontein In Spotlight Today

The Pick 6 starts in the third at 14h10

An eight-race programme is scheduled for Turffontein on the Inside course today. Race 6 which is a Progress Plate for the girls is the standout event on the day which sees Mill Queen and Magic School renewing their rivalry.

It is a late start to racing with the first race kicking off at 13h00.

Sea Ways who is currently trading at 16/10 with Hollywoodbets looks to be the best bet on the card.

Jimmy The Rich writes that the son of Ashaawes has finished runner-up in both his efforts thus far.

He was his own worst enemy last time as he lost two lengths at the start, but the manner in which he ran on at the finish caught the eye. He looks to be a progressive sort and in this type of field, can shed his maiden tag.

Astrix is much better than his last two starts suggest. The son of Vercingetorix proved that he didn’t see out the mile last time as he lacked extra in the latter stages.

He is unbeaten from two starts over today’s course and distance.

The Riverton Stud bred gelding returns from a 13-week break today, which may have done him the world of good. Warren Kennedy steps into the saddle and the combination should take a power of beating.

The going is good with the false rail set at zero on the back straight and bend with a 2m spur at the 500m mark.

  • The Bipot starts in the first at 13h00
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second at 13h35
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third at 14h10
  • Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth race at 14h40
  • Jackpot 2 starts in the fifth race at 15h15

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
