Turffontein Double Feature Today

First due off @ 12h15

Turffontein plays host to a nine-race programme on the Standside course this afternoon with the first due off at 12h15 and the lucky last set for 16h55.

Two feature races are on the card today, including the Betway Gr3 National Currency Stakes and the TAB Non-Black Type Bauhinia Handicap.

Golden Sickle from the Tony Peter stable takes her place in the TAB Non-Black Type Bauhinia Handicap. She is a winner of her last three starts.

She showed good speed over this course and distance last time, found another kick and drew clear of the opposition.

Despite her big mass of 62.5kgs, she should keep her unbeaten record over this course and distance intact.

Hollywoodbets-sponsored Trainer Corne Spies saddles Golden Aspen in Race 8.

She should have finished closer to the winner last time as she was inconvenienced at the 300m mark.

She has won once and finished third twice from five starts over this course and distance.

The daughter of Pomodoro has dropped to a competitive rating and she should give the males a run for their money.
