Turffontein – Competitive Card Today

Bipot starts in first at 12h45

TurffonteinTurffontein plays host to an eight-race programme on the Inside course this afternoon.

It is a competitive card, but there is some decent value on offer. The first race is off at 12h45 while the last race is set to take place at 16h45.

Gilboa from the Paul Peter stable is the best bet on the card and could give the favourite backers a good start to the day in Race 1.

Jimmy The Rich writes that the son of Byword showed good improvement in his second start over 1200m on this course, two weeks ago. He moved up well that day and tried hard all the way to the winning post. He is drawn in pole position today and with Winning Form sponsored jockey Warren Kennedy in the saddle, he should take a power of beating.

The in-form Lucky Houdalakis stable send out Lord Melbourne in Race 6 who is currently trading at 62/10 with Hollywoodbets.

The son of Duke Of Marmalade took on much stronger company in his last start over this distance at the Vaal. It must be noted that Expressfromtheus has come out and won again since that outing. He finished third in his penultimate run in this class.

Craig Zackey takes the ride today and the combination should find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.

The false rail is set at 4m on the back straight and bend with a 6m spur at the 500m mark.

  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second at 13h20

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
