Sean Tarry who saddled four winners at Turffontein on Saturday, sends out Grappler in Race 1. He showed massive improvement in his last start when returning from a 31-week break.

He was slow into stride that day, but the manner in which he finished off his race caught the eye.

The son of Trippi found betting support which suggests he had been showing good work back at home. He should strip fitter a much fitter horse today and can go one better.

Full Mast from the stable of Mike and Adam Azzie takes his place in Race 7, a Merit Rated 104 Handicap over 1400m.

He ran a decent race when finishing fourth over this distance at Turffontein last time.

He has won twice from three starts over this course and distance. His best form has been under S’manga Khumalo and he can get back to winning ways.

The inside false rail is 10m in from the 1600m mark with a 10m spur at the 800m mark. The outside rail is zero from the 1600m mark to the pull up area.

  • The Bipot starts in the second at 13h05
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the third at 13h35
  • The Pick 6 starts in the fourth at 14h05
  • Jackpot 1 starts in the fifth race at 14h40
