The Bipot starts in the first at 12h35

Racing takes place at the Vaal this afternoon and eight races are scheduled.

Lyle Hewitson who is currently leading the South African Jockeys Championship has ridden 130 winners this season at a strike rate of 15.1% has seven rides on the card. He has a good chance of adding to his tally and increasing his lead.

Corne Spies saddles Attentive today in race 5.

Attentive from the Corne Spies takes his place in Race 5. He looked a winner in his last start over this course and distance, but was caught in the shadow of the post.

Sherman Brown knows him well and if repeating that effort today, he should go one better in this field.

The false rail is zero on the back straight and bend with a 3.5m spur at the 600m mark. The outside false rail is 9m in from the 1600m to 600m mark.
