Lerena Back On Home Turf

The Bipot starts in the second at 13h05

Racing takes place on the Vaal Classic course this afternoon and nine races are carded.

Gavin Lerena is back in Gauteng and he may be the man to follow. He has five rides on the card and each of them have a decent chance of winning.

The first race is due off at 12h35.

Jimmy The Rich writes Trainer Paul Peter sends out Grimaldi in Race 4 on the programme. He produced an eye-catching debut effort over a mile at Turffontein, five weeks ago.

It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Dynasty would have come on from the outing and will love the extra furlong on offer.

With the natural improvement that is expected, he should be the one to beat.

Legal Star from the Paul Matchett stable is currently trading at 6/1 with Hollywoodbets. She was reported to have choked up in her post maiden effort over a mile and that outing is best ignored.

She did however find plenty of betting support that day which suggests she had been showing good work back at home.

The daughter of Legislate takes a drop in class this afternoon and from her good draw of two, she can get back to winning ways.

The false rail is zero on the back straight to 4m on the bend, with a 4m spur at the 600m mark.

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
